At Alp Medical Dental, we can offer a variety of different options to our clients requiring orthodontic treatment. Whether you require fixed braces or aligners, we have a variety of different options available for you depending on the look you wish to achieve for your teeth.

Fixed braces

One of the biggest benefits of fixed braces for straightening teeth is the reliability of the results. Fixed braces bring up images of “train tracks”, but at Alp Medical Dental we can also offer other types of options that are less visible.

How do fixed braces work?

Fixed braces are made up of brackets and wires. The brackets can either be made up of metal or ceramic. They are fixed to the surface of your teeth using a special adhesive. The wires are placed over the brackets and they are instrumental in creating the “force” or “pressure” against the teeth to move them into the desired position. Once the fixed braces are fitted, they cannot be removed until the treatment has been completed.

Who would benefit from fixed braces?

Fixed braces can fix the following issues:

  • Overcrowding and spacing of the teeth
  • Overbites
  • Underbites
  • Misaligned teeth

Is there an alternative to fixed braces?

Some people dislike the idea of having fixed, “train track” braces, even though there are more discreet options available. One alternative is to have removable, “clear” braces, which can be taken out for short periods in the day, such as whilst eating or drinking.

Although fixed braces are the best option for fixing more serious misalignment and issues with the teeth, removable braces can provide good results in milder cases.

How long does it take to complete the treatment?

Correcting the teeth using fixed braces won’t happen overnight. In some cases, it can be a few months – for more complex treatment, it can take up to a few years. When you have your consultation, this will be explained in depth to you and the dentist will be able to give you a good idea of the approximate length of treatment from start to finish.

How much does it cost?

The cost of correcting teeth with fixed braces is significantly cheaper in Turkey than it is in places such as the UK or USA. The fee for fixed braces starts from £XXX. Clear aligners

Do you want a straighter smile without worrying about having “train track” braces? If you are looking for something more discreet, that can be removed when necessary, then clear aligners might be the best option for you.

With clear aligners, the clue is in the name – they are made up of transparent plastic and they are almost invisible to the naked eye.

Who would benefit from clear aligners?

Clear aligners can fix the following issues:

  • Overcrowding and spacing of the teeth
  • Misaligned teeth

How do they work?

Clear aligners work by placing pressure on the teeth to move them into the right position. It is recommended that they are worn for a minimum of 20 hours a day to achieve the desired results. They can be taken out to eat, drink and brush your teeth.

How much does it cost?

The fee for clear aligners starts from £XXX. Please contact a friendly member of our team today on XXX to arrange a consultation and receive your individualised quotation and treatment plan.
